DAR awarded subcontract for Biscayne 27 Apartments

DAR Finish Specialties, Inc. has been awarded subcontract to furnish and install all doors, frames, millwork, door hardware, bath hardware, and shower enclosures for a multifamily apartment building located in Edgewater Miami, FL.

"Richman Group of Florida broke ground on the Biscayne 27 apartments in Miami’s Edgewater after securing a $58.6 million construction loan from Bank of America.

The bank (NYSE: BAC) awarded the mortgage to Biscayne Apartments LLC, an affiliate of West Palm Beach-based Richman Group with joint venture partner Invesco Real Estate. The 330-unit apartment complex with 9,567-square-foot of ground floor retail recently broke ground at 2701 Biscayne Blvd.

The general contractor is Miami-based First Florida LLC. The 8-story, 467,680-square-foot project was designed by Corwil Architects. It will include an amenity deck and a pool.

The developer acquired the 2.20 acre site for $30 million in 2016. Several older homes there were demolished."
